Imphal, October 23 2008: Following the bomb blast at Ragailong gate on October 21 and sensing the possibility of disruptive activities from anti-social elements ahead of the Diwali and Ningol Chakkouba festivals, the State Police Department has issued certain precautionary measures/guidelines for the public.

Through a press release issued by DGP Y Joykumar, the Police Department has asked the people to avoid unnecessary crowding and not to allow any unattended vehicle to park in front of house/shop.

It also asked the public to inform police in case any unattended vehicle which appears to have been abandoned is observed.

Other guidelines include, "Don't touch any suspicious looking objects", "Don't accept any gift/packet from unknown persons", "Check your surroundings, check any unusual changes", "Check any suspicious behaviour of strangers" etc.

It further asked the public to inform police in case of observing any suspicious circumstances.
