Imphal, December 15 2009: The KCP-MC condole the demise of Konthoujam Somendro alias Boy s/o K Themba of Konthoujam Lairenkhul in Imphal West district in an unfortunate incident, said a statement issued by the outfit's Information and Public Relations officer Puranthaba.

Containing other issues, the statement also affirmed that time has come to exhibit reach and capability of the KCP-MC under its command Lamyanba Khuman apart from cautioning police commandos of appropriate measures for undermining the armed group.

Further, Puranthaba declared ban on all activities at the Loiboi Khunou (Waroiching) work site till a negotiated settlement could be arrived at.

Without specifying, the KCP-MC statement alleged that five AK 47 rifles with 450 rounds, two lathode guns with 12 bombs and five 9 mm pistols were among the recovered items by police commandos who had been hiding the exact number of weapons seized.

KCP-MC also took serious note of activities of Bishnupur district police commandos.
