Imphal, November 14 2009: PWD Executive Engineer Khundrakpam Mohori of Khurai Chaithabi Leirak and his family were threatened by some unidentified persons with a hand grenade today.

One hand-grenade lobbed by the unidentified persons landed at their residence at about 4.45 am today but the grenade failed to go off.

The unexploded grenade was later retrieved by Imphal East District Police.

Earlier too, there were instances of bomb attacks at the residence of Mohori.

In a similar incident, Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai residence of Imphal Hospital managing director Salam Maipak was attacked with a hand grenade at about 6.30 pm yesterday.

The grenade failed to explode there too.
