Imphal, October 10 2009: United Kuki Liberation Army Military Council (UKLA-MC) condoled the death of its two cadres terming the incident as a 'treacherous attack' of the Assam Rifles in Churachandpur on the night of October 7 .

A press statement issued by its Information and Publicity Secretary Jamson Kuki said that there was no retaliatory firing from the three cadres since no weapon had been issued to them.

So retaliatory firing report of AR team was a big lie, added the statement.

It further said that the three cadres including the one who escaped were all newly recruited and non of them was a leader, so the claim of the AR team in killing two leaders of the UKLA(MC) was totally wrong.

The recovery report of two pistols from the slain cadres was also baseless as the cadres did not have any arm on that day.

Rejecting the claim of AR that said Saikot BDO was abducted by UKLA, the outfit alleged that the BDO was abducted by KLA Timothy group.

The outfit further warned that attacking and killing security forces is not in the outfit's agenda so far but if anybody including the Indian security forces are determined to wipe them out, UKLA would also start the same mission against the SFs.
