Imphal, February 09 2010: A staff of the OK Hotel, who was hit by a bullet accidentally fired by one Commando personnel of Imphal West District Police succumbed to the injuries at a private hospital here today morning.

The incident took place in the morning of January 27 last at the popular eatery joint located at Thangal Bazar, MG Avenue which is just a stone's throw away distance from City Police.

The police commando whose identity has not been revealed by the police so far accidentally fired from his service rifle hitting 31-year old Atho Mao of Liyai Khullen in Senapati district on his stomach.

Atho who worked in the hotel as a waiter was immediately rushed to RIMS but referred to Catholic Medical Centre, Koirengei where he succumbed to the injuries this morning.
