Imphal, November 07 2009: The proscribed PREPAK has condoled the death of Lance Corporal Elangbam Tangba alias Bungo alias Doren (20) s/o Sanajaoba of Hiyanglam Tera Pishak.

Doren was killed in an encounter with a combined team of Imphal West commandos and troops of 12 Maratha Light Infantry at Yangoi Maril under Wangoi police station at about 5.20 am of October 4 .

A press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity and propaganda secretary in-charge Aheiba Angom said that Doren saved the lives of other Red Army cadres by fighting with the combined alone thereby slowing down advancement of the security personnel.

The other Red Army cadres could reach their transit camp because of the sacrifice made by Doren, it said.

The outfit also conveyed solidarity to the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved family.
