Imphal, April 05 2009: The Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) has condemned the killing of J Khathing, ex-chairman of the Ukhrul Autonomous District, by suspected NSCN (IM) cadres at about 7.30 am of March 31 .

While sharing the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved families, the MNRF, in a press release issued by its information and publicity secretary C Rocky, clarified that it had no relationship whatsoever with J Khathing.

It further asserted that J Khathing might have been eliminated for his open endorsement of the candidature of BJP candidate Loli Adanee rather than PDA's Mani Charenamei in the 15th Lok Sabha elections.

Alleging that it is the nature of NSCN (IM) to make false accusations posthumously after killing people, the MNRF asserted that the murder of SDO Dr Kishan and his staff was once such act of the NSCN (IM) .

However, it confided that MNRF talked with J Khathing thrice, the outfit clarified that, apart from this, Khathing never enrol or join the party.

The alleged activities of NSCN (IM) targeting public was a manifestation of the outfit's demoralised situation, it asserted.
