Imphal, November 04 2008: Along with formation of JAC in protest against the killing of Pradhan of Irong Chesaba Gram Panchayat Md Zuma Khan (35) by unidentified gunmen yesterday, JAC representatives today met Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and submitted a memorandum highlighting its demands.

The demands of the JAC include arrest and punishment of the killers, payment of Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia within November 7, providing a suitable Government job to one of the surviving family members.

The memorandum also mentioned that JAC would launch various intense agitations against the Government if these demands were not fulfilled.

However, during the meeting with the Chief Minister, an understanding has been reportedly arrived at between the two parties.

Chief Minister reportedly gave his assurance on payment of the ex-gratia and looking into the other demands.
