Imphal, June 04 2009: The identity of the UG suspect slain in a reported encounter with a combined team of Thoubal police commandos and troops of 20 AR on Kakching-Pallel road in the night of May 31 has been established as Md Naseer Hussain (31) s/o Abdul Khalique of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai.

Family members have claimed the corpse after completion of post mortem at Lilong PHC today.

Yet, a memorandum has been submitted to Chief Minister O Ibobi after constituting a JAC contending that Md Nasser was an innocent civilian.

Asserting that Md Naseer Hussain was a married man having two children and earning his livelihood by selling clothes, the JAC questioned the faults of Naseer.

Further, the identity of the UG suspect killed in a reported encounter with troops of 12 AR near border pillar No 99 along Indo-Myanmar border, about 38 kms South-East of Chassad police station, Ukhrul yesterday afternoon could not be established till date.

According to a press release issued by the OC of Chassad police station, the deceased was 5'2'' in height and appeared to be about 24/25 years in age.

He had oblong face, fair complexion and slim figure.

He was wearing olive green dress and hunting boots.
