Imphal, June 03 2009: Decrying the killing of Prof Islamuddin, students of various schools of Imphal East district staged protest demonstrations today.

The students demanded to punish the culprits, and also urged the concerned not to repeat such killings.

The students put up play cards that read, VC must held responsible for the killing of Prof Islamuddin, What is the fault of Prof Islamuddin, Punish the culprits involved in the killing of Prof Islamuddin, Do not repeat such killing in future.

The schools that staged demonstrations today were CC Higher Secondary School, The Minuthong Faizia Government Primary School, Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School, Hallery English School, Pioneer Academy, Brahmapur Primary School, Bal Bidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Mangoljao English School.
