Imphal, September 27 2009: Irom Chanu Sharmila's fast unto death agitation against continued imposition of draconian Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act is just 38 days short of completing nine years.

On the other hand, the relay hunger strike launched under the aegis of the Sharmila Kanba Lup in solidarity to Sharmila's cause has completed 292 days.

Today's leg of the relay hunger strike was participated by around 50 women activists of Wangkhei Meihoubam Lampak.
