Imphal, November 23 2009: The proscribed KCP-MC has accused both Ngangom Bhanu and her late husband Kuber of being informers to security forces.

A press release issued by the outfit's information and pubic relations officer Puranthaba asserted that Bhanu and Kuber have been acting as informers to police commandos and Assam Rifles since a long time back.

They have landed many cadres of the outfit in trouble in addition to stealing Rs 5 lakhs collected from people, taking advantage of some party cadres taking shelter at their home.

Clarifying that no monetary demand was made to Kuber, the outfit said that the allegation of monetary demand was baseless and fabricated, aimed at covering their own faults.

Acting on information provided by Bhanu, Kuber and Bhanu's younger brother Mayengbam Kunjabihari of Khabam Mayai Leikai, a combined team of commandos and AR troops rushed to a location of some party cadres at about 2 am of November 20 .

This enabled three individuals escape who were being detained by the cadres for questioning.

For this, Ngangom Kuber was pulled up yesterday.

But soon after questioning began, Kuber fainted due to hyper tension and he succumbed there.

Accusing Bhanu and Kuber of being close collaborators of security forces, the KCP-MC said that the death of Kuber was a punishment by god to the couple.

The outfit also asked Kunjabihari to contact them.

It further cautioned that no protest movement should be organised in connection with the death of Kuber.

Saying that Naorem Arun of Moidangpok Laimaya has surrendered to the party and confessed the anti-party activities undertaken by him together with Naorem Anand alias Pari of Moidangpok Laimaya but staying at Churachandpur and Tongbram Sandhyarani alias Anju d/o T Noren of Khumbong Makha Leikai, the outfit asked Anand and Sandhyarani to contact them.

It further clarified that Khundrakpam Momon of Ningthoukhong Kha Khunou was not related to the party in any manner.

Identification of Momon as one RK of the party allegedly by commandos was baseless and absurd, it remarked.
