Imphal, November 12 2009: Unidentified miscreants triggered a blast at the Sangaiyumpham Part-II Nungphou residence of one Ataur-Rehman (45) .

Rehman is informed to be a Member of Sangaiyumpham Jilla Parishad in Thoubal district.

According to police report, the grenade explosion took place at around 11.45 pm yesterday and damaged some CI sheets of the roof.

A release of Sangaiyumpham Youth Development Organisation, Nungphou vehemently condemned the act of triggering grenade blast and demanded clarification in case any UG group is involved in it.

The youth body also appealed to all concerned to refrain from such act in the future.
