Imphal, October 09 2009: The proscribed KCP has claimed responsibility for the grenade attacks at the residence of Yairipok Yambem Makha Leikai residence of Sanabam Mobi on October 6 and Nongmeibung Chapram Leirak residence of Dr Motilal on October 7 .

A press release issued by Tabungba Meetei of the outfit's information and public relations department, however, clarified that the grenade attack of October 6 was not targeting Sanabam Mobi but his elder brother Sanabam Radhamohon, Pradhan of Imphal East-II Gram Panchayat.

It invited Dr Motilal to come to an understanding with the party instead of disregarding the party.

The efforts of PWD EE Mohori of Khurai Chaithabi Leirak to arrest cadres of the party using his Sub-Inspector son would not bear fruits, it said.

Accusing one Bijoy Singh of Lamphel Super Market of landing two cadres of the party in the hands of security forces after summoning them to give some assistance to the party, the outfit disclosed that Bijoy's son Nanao alias Robison has fled away from the party's custody.

Nanao alias Robison was pulled up for his involvement in conspiring against the party, it added.
