Imphal, July 05 2009: Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) strongly condemned planting of bomb at the Nagaram B Block residence of Senior Scientific Officer Presso Shimray.

A press release issued by its president urged the concerned not to repeat such act of violence in future.

Any misunderstanding whatsoever can be hammered out through dialogue, the press release suggested.

Expressing concern over the delay in disbursing of pre-Matric scholarships under MOBC, the students' body sought a positive response in this regard from the concerned Department.

Maintaining that every applicant who had applied for the scholarship had spent around Rs 2000 each in fare, affidavit fees and other expenditures, TKS cautioned the concerned Department that it would not remain as a mute spectator if the scholarship process is further delayed.
