Imphal, May 31 2009: The 3rd IRB personnel reportedly involved in the killing of MU Proctor Prof Md Islamuddin has been remanded to police custody for seven days.

3rd IRB Rifleman Kangjam Dimajit (30) s/o Tombi of Haobam Marak Kangjam Leikai surrendered to Singjamei police station on May 28 before he was formally arrested yesterday.

Dimajit was produced before a duty Magistrate today.

The Magistrate after hearing the application of police remanded Dimajit to police custody till June 6.Even as the proscribed KYKL has claimed responsibility for eliminating Prof Islamuddin, PULF asserted that Prof Islamuddin was shot dead by IRB personnel.

On the other hand , police have pulled up 13 students so far in connection with the killing.
