Imphal, June 29 2009: Sit-in protest demonstration continued to be staged demanding unconditional release of the student leaders who have been detained under NSA in the aftermath of killing Proctor of Manipur University Prof Md Islamuddin.

At Phayeng, Kangchup, Kadangband, Koutruk, Phumlou and Lamshang, local Meira Paibis staged the demonstration.

At the protestors also set the effigies of Chief Minister O Ibobi and DGP Y Joy kumar.

Similar demonstrations were also staged by students of Oxford English Academy (Phayeng), School of Human Resources Development (Phayeng), Mayang-langjing Govt High School (Mayanglangjing) and Praja H/School (Lamshang).
