Imphal, January 18 2010: The identity of one of the two suspected underground cadres, slain in an encounter at Yangbi Khunou of Wakha Road with a combined team of Imphal East district police commandos and troops of 28 Assam Rifles, has been established today.

The person has been identified as Ngangom Tony (24) s/o late Bimol of Uripok Tourangbam Leikai.

The other person had been already identified yesterday as Oinam Joyshankar (29) of Khurai Soibam Leikai.

Both of them had been recently released from jail after lodging for some time as PREPAK cadres.
