Imphal, November 16 2008: Bodies of the two Myanmar nationals where were shot dead by troops of the 31 Assam Rifles on November 14 morning have been sent to Moreh for handing over to Myanmar authorities.

Bodies of the two (brothers) were handed over to Investigative Officer of Moreh police station on completion of post mortem at RIMS morgue at around 1.30 pm today.

Mention may be made that after Myanmar authorities claimed the deceased duo as its citizens relevant procedures were carried out for handing over the corpses.

Even though the bodies are supposed to be handed over to Myanmar authorities detailed information regarding the handing over of bodies could no be confirmed.

As per latest report the bodies had reached Moreh town at about 7 pm.
