Imphal, June 15 2009: The proscribed UNLF has condemned the recent murder of contractor Krishnadas.

Although the general public felt that the murder might be a handiwork of some gang engaged in taking ransom by abducting people, it however would not be any surprise if State police commandos are found conniving with such gangs, asserted a press release issued by the outfit's senior publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba.

Asking whether the State Police would dare to book the killers or would they pull up some innocent civilians on whom responsibility for the killing can be fixed wrongly, the outfit claimed that no insurgent group would commit such act of taking Rs 25 lakhs as ransom and at the same time killing the person in captivity.

To remove any suspicion among the public and the bereaved family and also to help in unmasking the killers, insurgent groups should act so as to abolish any misplaced suspicion.

The outfit also shared the pain and anguish being endured by the bereaved family, it added.
