Imphal, June 13 2009: Continuing to exert pressure on the Government to release the student leaders who have been detained NSA in the aftermath of killing Prof Md Islamuddin of Manipur University, students and Meira Paibis staged protest demonstration in different parts of Thoubal district today.

While students of Fancier Abhiram Higher Secondary School, Sofia English School, Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School, Pujari Girls High School, Pujari Public Higher Secondary School and Little Agents Paradise School demonstrated in front of their respective school gates, Meira Paibis of Wangjing Nashikhong, Wangjing Wangkhei, Wangjing Hodamba Heituppokpi, etc protested in their respective localities.
