Imphal, September 10, 2009: A partially decomposed corpse of a man has been fished out from Ithai Barrage, about 4 kms East of Kumbi police station at about 9 am today, said a press release issued by the OC of Kumbi PS.

The deceased suspected to be a Muslim was of medium built and had normal hair-cut.

He wore a white kurta-pyjama suit, one red and blue track shirt and a white cap.

No external injury was visible on the body.

He was wearing a two rings on the middle finger and ring finger of the left hand, it conveyed.

Saying that out of three UG cadres killed in an encounter with Bishnupur police commandos at Wathalambi Anandpur Chingya Leikai at about 11.45 am of September 7, one is still lying unidentified at RIMS mortuary, the OC of Kumbi PS has notified that the corpse would be disposed off if the same cannot be identified by September 11.
