Imphal, May 10 2009: Identities of the three individuals shot dead by combined team of Imphal East commandos and troops of 28 AR on Ilrilbung-Kalika road last night have been established.

They were Th Dhananjoy (28) s/o Budhi of Khongjom Patpan, Sorokhaibam Budha alias Momimacha (38) s/o late Churachand of Serou Awang Leikai and Thingbaijam Homen (22) s/o late Bijoy.

It is reported that all three of them were pulled up by some unidentified armed persons in combat fatigue suspected to be AR personnel from Network Hotel located at Dimapur on April 28 .

Dhananjoy was penalised by RPF on December 25 last year for smuggling beer to Dimapur.

Meanwhile, the two individuals shot dead by troops of 21 AR at Irengband Hawairou last night have been identified.

They were Md Islamuddin (23) s/o Tajmuddin of Sora Mayai Leikai and Md Safir Khan alias Ibo (24) s/o late Mangru of Sora Mamang Leikai.

It is reported that Islamuddin was a PULF surrenderee whereas Mangru was earlier arrested twice as PULF cadre.
