Imphal, December 02 2008: Publicity in-charge of NSCN (K) Zeliangrong region Loveson has claimed that his cadres have eliminated a sergeant of the rival faction NSCN (IM) during a gun-battle which took place at Haflong in North Cachar Hills district of Assam on November 23 last, reports our Jiri correspondent.

Identifying the slain IM sergeant as Asey Chakeshang (26) of Phek district, Nagaland, Loveson stated that his outfit would not tolerate any attempt to break the unit of Zeliangrong people.

He further said that his cadres have been on a mission to unite the Zeliangrong people residing in the three Northeastern States of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
