Imphal, April 02 2009: The firing (in the air) at the residence of Waiton Gram Panchayat rice agent Sanjabam Gopal s/o late S Tolen of Chingarel Tezpur was made by KCP cadres in self-defence.

According to a press release issued by the outfit's assistant secretary of information and public relation department Kh Oja, the KCP cadres went to the residence of Gopal to talk about the money he collected from FCI and FCS in the name of the party since 2003, but being guilty Gopal raised an alarm forcing the KCP cadres to fire a round in the air in self-defence.

After this incident, Gopal will be given punishment, it said.

It further conveyed that more stringent actions may be initiated against Dr Bilashini if she continues to act against the party's terms and conditions even after a bomb was placed at her residence.
