Imphal, January 28: The month-long campaign, 'AFSPA Temshingnabi Sharmila Kanba Miyamgee Khongjang' was held at five different places of Thoubal district today.

The campaign was launched in Kakching, Thoubal, Sora, Khongjom and Lilong along with the representatives of various social organisations of the area.

The main features of the campaign include of street plays, street corner meetings, slogan shouting and mass mobilisation for repealing AFSPA and to save the life of Sharmila who has been fasting for more than six years demanding scrapping of the Act.
