Imphal, June 21 2009: A cadre of a UG group was killed in a gun-fight between two UG groups, in Kangpokpi area last night.

Incidentally, both the UG groups are currently under Suspension of Operation (SoO) pact with the Government.

The gun fight took place between 11 pm and 2 am in the intervening night of June 20 and 21 on the road to Kangpokpi Mission Compound.

It is reported that the slain individual might be one Labui Touthang (27) s/o late Lukhulon of Kangpokpi Ward No 7.He was suspected to be a cadre of one of the two UG groups.

No definite information could be received from police till the time of filing this report.
