Imphal, December 07 2008: Kuki National Front (Zogam) condemned the brutal killing of Imphal Free Press sub-editor Konsam Rishikanta.

Maintaining that Freedom of Press must not be undermined in a civilized society, Information and Publicity Secretary of the outfit, GS Jona said that media persons must be given a chance to rectify themselves before giving them punishments even if they have a committed a wrongful conduct.

Saying that there is no Paolun Khongsai s/o (L) Sehlal Khongsai in the cadre list of the organisation, the secretary also denied connection with the said person.

There is no designation/portfolio of Finance Commander in the organisation as published in some sections of daily newspapers on December 6, the secretary clarified.

Warning for stern actions, the outfit asked the concerned individuals who are minting money by using the name of KNF (Z) to surrender on or before December 15 .
