Imphal, January 05 2008: Dismissing the reported statement of Bishnupur SP that one UG suspect had been slain in an encounter with a combined force of Bishnupur police commandos, troops of 7 AR and 193 Bn BSF at Ungamenpat in Nongmaikhog area under Kumbi police station on January 2 and that one 9 mm pistol and four live rounds were recovered as baseless, the proscribed PREPAK contended that there was no incident of any shoot-out in the area on the day.

A press release issued by the outfit's secretary in-charge of the department of publicity and propaganda Aheiba Angom alleged that the SP's statement was aimed at misleading the public by placing a weapon near the corpse after killing the cadre who was apprehended by the combined force already.

Offering revolutionary salute to its slain cadre, pte Chanambam Shuresh alias Kokngang alias Killersing alias Kinnasing (18) s/o Ch Juge of Mayang Imphal Chabung Company Mayai Leikai, the outfit also shared the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved family and near and dear ones.
