Imphal, October 02 2009: Unidentified persons exploded a hand-grenade at the Khurai Chaithabi Leirak residence of Public Works Department's Executive Engineer, Khundrakpam Mohori Singh at around 5.30 pm today.

According to a police report, the explosion took place near the entrance gate of the PWD official.

There is no report of human casualty.

The attack is informed to be the second of its kind with a similar incident having occurred on September 4 mid-night.

The Executive Engineer's family members said there is no threat or monetary demand served to the official.
