Imphal, May 29 2009: A 5-year old girl was killed while her 13-year old brother was wounded in a gun-battle that broke out between two armed groups at Chajol village located near Moreh along Indo-Myanmar border in Chandel district.

According to police report, the incident took place at around 3 pm today.

In the gun-battle, 5-year old Baby Phalmithing Mate d/o Ngamkholun of Chajol village was killed while her elder brother Paokholal (13) sustained bullet injuries.

Baby Phalmithing passed away at Moreh CHC where her elder brother is undergoing treatment.
