Imphal, May 26 2009: A joint meeting of all social organisations of Yairipok area has resolved not to accept any allegations made against Prof Islamuddin posthumously.

The joint meeting held today urged the State Government to institute a CBI inquiry into the killing.

It also agreed to exert due pressure on the Government to book and punish the culprits accordingly.

It further demanded resignation of the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar on moral ground.

Other resolutions of the meeting included submission of a memorandum to the CM and extending unstinted support to any movement that may be launched by the JAC constituted against the murder of Prof Islamuddin.
