Imphal, June 18 2009: Two days after proscribed KCP-MC (Lalheiba Meitei group) triggered an IED fitted scooter inside the complex of 2 MR, a scooter which was found parked in front of Gauhati High Complex here since last night created panic among the people today.

Suspecting that it may also be fitted with explosive, bomb experts of the State Police Department were called in at around 8.30 am today.

With the help of a rope tied to a pole, the bomb experts toppled the scooter on the ground.

However, no explosives were found.

It is said that the scooter NV Select bearing registration number DL-7SD/5227 was seen being parked in from of the court complex since last night.

The suspicion of the people was raised when the scooter was found still being parked at the same spot today morning.

Police have picked up the scooter.
