Imphal, May 10 2009: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started investigation on the killing of Imphal Free Press Junior Sub-Editor Konsam Rishikanta.

According to a reliable source, an investigating team from Kolkata headed by a DSP of the investigating agency started the probe yesterday.

The team gathered preliminary reports from family members of the slain scribe and his former employer, City Offsets.

The young journalist was found killed in November last at near Sangai's Second Home, Langol.

A State investigating team led by IG Intelligence LM Khoute also investigated the case in the beginning.
