Imphal, June 09 2009: Strongly condemning the murder of Prof Islamuddin, more and more students are coming out to protest the killing while at the same time urging upon the authority to punish the killers.

Chanting slogans like "We condemn Prof Islamuddin's killing", "Punish the murderers" etc students staged protest demonstrations in front of their schools located at different places in Pangei and Lamlai areas.

The students also put up placards which read as "What was the fault of Prof Islamuddin?", "VC Amuba is responsible for Prof Islamuddin's killing", "Prof Islamuddin's killing was an act of attacking a soft target", "Prof Islamuddin's killing cannot bring quality education", "We condemn Prof Islamuddin's killing", "Punish the killers" etc.

Marked by chanting slogans against the killing of Prof Islamuddin, such protest demonstrations were staged at Hundred Flower Higher Secondary School Pangei, Sainik View Getwell School, RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Kanan Devi Memorial School, International Peace Academy Pangei, Royal Academy of Manipur Pangei, Manipur Police Training School, Khundrakpam Chingshu High School, Shining English School Khundrakpam, Success School Chingarel, Leishemba Maheikol Chingarel and Khurai Popular High School.
