Imphal, March 07, 2010: All the individuals killed in encounters with security forces and shot dead by unidentified persons in the last few days have been identified.

The suspected PREPAK cadre killed in a reported encounter with a combined team of Thoubal police commandos and troops of 28 AR last midnight at Heibirok has been identified as one Chabungbam Momo alias Bishobanta (30) s/o late Kumar of Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai.

After he was arrested as a PREPAK cadre, Momo came out from jail on February 12.He left home in the night of March 4.He is survived by his wife and a son.

The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS today.

However, the corpse of Md Tajuddin (25) of Keibung Awang Wangmataba who was shot dead by unidentified persons at an isolated place between Moirangkampu Sajeb and Kanglasiphai last afternoon is still lying in RIMS mortuary.

It is reported that the local people of Keibung Awang have geared up to call Mayai Lambi in protest against the killing of Tajuddin.

Further, all the three KYKL-MDF cadres found dead at Chanamlok near Kamuching in the morning of March 4 have been identified.

The third deceased has been identified as one Ngangom Sakhensana alias Second Hero (21) s/o late Iboyaima of Thamnapokpi Mayai Leikai near Yaingangpokpi.

The identities of the other two have been already established as Tongbram Maipak alias Tomba (29) of Ingourok Mamang Leikai and Thokchom Borajao (32) of Wangoo Sabal.
