Imphal, October 01 2009: The proscribed KCP has claimed its hands in killing Konsam Premkumar alias Sanajaoba (34) s/o K Santi of Khurai Konsam Leikai.

A press release issued by Tabungba Meitei of the outfit accused Sanajaoba of being a drug abuser as well as drug peddler besides being an informer to security forces.

Acting on a specific information, party cadres managed to locate Premkumar at about 8 pm of September 29 .

He was found together with four other persons.

While Sanajaoba could be cornered, four others managed to run away.

On questioning Sanajaoba, it came to light the fled away individuals were all drug dealers.

They have been identified as Md Salao of Lilong Turel Ahanbi, Md Latif of Lilong Dam, Md Wahidur of Lilong Khunou and Md Abo Chaoba.

One 9 mm pistol along with four live rounds have also been recovered from Sanajaoba.

It has been learnt that another 9 mm pistol was with Sanajaoba's younger brother-in-law.

The five individuals were also involved in abduction and extortion in the name of KCP, the outfit asserted.
