Imphal, April 10 2022: Brown Sugar weighing 1.082 Kg was seized by the Narcotic Cell of Tengnoupal Police from the possession of two individuals at around 4 pm today.

The contraband drug was found packed in 25 soap cases and its market value is said to be around Rs 2,16,40,000 .

The drug was seized from the possession of K Samuel (22) s/o Thanglam of Tuibong, Churachandpur district and Nianghoihsiam (22) d/o Kapginthang of New Zouveng, Churachandpur district.

They were travelling in a Bolero jeep before they were arrested with the drug.

This was the 11th seizure of drugs by Tengnoupal District Police since March 25 this year and the approximate value of the total seizure is about Rs 54.81 crore.
