Imphal, April 10 2022: A one-day awareness programme on women empowerment and rights of senior citizens was organised by Ibudhou Koiroulakpa Village Level Federation at Students' Welfare Committee community hall, Thongju Pheijaleitong, here on Sunday.

During the programme, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Campus Manipur political science department faculty Dr Homen Thangjam spoke on the responsibility of society towards senior citizens and problems faced by women in contemporary society and advocate Sukham Premjit on legal support for women and senior citizens while social scientist Dr Dhanabir Laishram deliberated on responsibilities of children towards their parents as resource persons.
