Teachers defy transfer order of Edn (S) Director

Imphal, August 27 2014: Even though the Director of Education (S) had transferred them to Wangoo Sabal Primary School considering shortage of teachers in the school, two teachers have failed to join the school so far, thus defying the directive of the Director.

The two teachers who have failed to turn up in the school which has around 100 students are Kh Devananda Singh (Primary Teacher-EIN– 056696) who was transferred to the school from Kumbi Central High School and H Tombisana Devi (Primary Teacher–EIN–081998) who was also transferred from the same school.

The transfer order of both the teachers was issued on July 16 last.

Taking serious note of the failure of the teachers to join the school despite the order, Zonal Education Officer, Kakching, Thangkhosem Singson submitted a written statement to Director, Education (S) urging to take up necessary action against the two teachers.

Kh Singhajit, headmaster of Wangoo Sabal Primary School has also filed a complaint in this regard.

Talking to Hueiyen Lanpao, Elangbam Sanggai, managing committee member of Wangoo Sabal Primary School stated that not less than six teachers are supposed to be teaching in the school but only one teacher has been looking after the school at present.

He demanded the authorities concerned to ensure that the two teachers who have not joined the school so far and those who have been utilized to other schools be send at the earliest to save future of the students of the school.
