YPHUC, KSDO, SHADOW, LOTUS win big in MNCA U-14 Boys tourney

YPHUC (Lalambung Makhong), KSDO (Kiyamgei), SHADOW (Thangmeiband) and LOTUS (Hiyanglam) were easy winners in Thursday's fixtures of the 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament.
YPHUC overpowered LCC (Lamshang) by 123 runs at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, Imphal East.
Asked to bat first, YPHUC scored 198/6 with efforts from Irom Ishor (36), Jangammei Maringmei (34), Loktongbam Hanish Singh (17), Konsam Mangai Singh (17) and Loktongbam Tomthilnganba (15).The Loktongbam Tomthilnganba side then bundled out LCC in 13.3 overs for a paltry 75 for their emphatic victory.
Irom Ishor led the YPHUC's lethal bowling display, claiming 4 scalps as Jangammei Maringmei and Yaioiba Ningombam did their bit with 3 wickets apiece.
In their run chase, Okeson Singh Ksh was the lone batter who reached double digits for LCC.
Earlier, Raju Meitei Mutum, L Lilabanta Khuman, Okeson Singh Ksh, Lolex Laishram, Lanleiba Sandham and Mangal Thonga each took one wicket for LCC.
KSDO thrashed SSC (Porompat) by 10 wickets in their league match played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Imphal.
The Kiyamgei boys bowled out the Porompat squad in 24.4 overs for 76 and went on to complete the chase in 6.1 overs.
KSDO's terrific bowling performance saw Mohammed Gunbas pick up 4 wickets, Mohammed Abu Sufiyan take 3 wickets, and Mohammed Soheb snap two to lay the foundation for their win.
SSC registered 6 ducks in their dismal innings as only Ahad (13 not out), Ajman (13) and Nadir (10) were the batters who could score in double figures.
In their response, KSDO needed 6.1 overs to achieve the target courtesy of openers Md Washim (52 not out) and Mohammed Abu Sufiyan (4 not out).
SHADOW, on the other hand, pummelled AMCA (Thoubal) by 184 runs at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part-IV, Imphal.
Put in to bat, SHADOW posted a competitive total of 234/6.Yohenba Konjengbam (41), Kh Devis (37), James Sahu (36), Maverick Wakambam (16) and Sagatpam Telheiba (14) were key contributors in their innings.
In the process, SHADOW lost 3 wickets to Anish and one each to Mustakin, Md Yakin and Mehbuk.
SHADOW then bowled well to end AMCA's chase in 14.3 overs for 50.Arubam Goshan Singh, Kh Devis and Yohenba Konjengbam scalped 2 wickets each while Chinglemba Haobam and Sagatpam Telheiba took one each in their comprehensive victory.
In other match, LOTUS beat SU (Sagolband) by 56 runs at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
Asked to bat, LOTUS made 175 after being dismissed in 29.4 overs as Taiyenjam Sachin Singh (22), Alex Thounaojam Singh (20), Srinivash Nongmaithem (16), Hensome Elangbam (13) and Elangbam Premdash Singh (10) got into to double figures in their innings.
For SU, Romania Sagolsem claimed 3 wickets, Nongam Rajkumar picked up 2, and Keisham Anderson, Philan Rajkumar, Sagolsem Hemjit Singh and Devraj Sorokhaibam bagged one each.
LOTUS dished out a superb bowling display to skittle out SU in 18.2 overs for a mere 50 for their resounding win.
Srinivash Nongmaithem led the scalping with 4 wickets while Alex Thounaojam Singh impressed with 3 scalps and Deevas Elangba contributed one wicket.
For SU, Keisham Anderson (13), Philan Rajkumar (11) and Devraj Sorokhaibam (10) managed to reach double digits in their run chase.
