AR archery championship ends

With two gold and same number of bronze medals Assam Rifles Archery Team (ARAT) topped the medals' race in the Assam Rifles Archery Championship which concluded today at Keithelmanbi Garrison of 9 Sector AR HQs.
In the Indian Round Rfn M Sunder Singh (ARAT) secured the gold, S Lallu Singh (FAC) silver and Rfn Ch Harichandra Singh (ARAT) bronze.
The Compound Division gold went to Sh Ramakanta Sharma (SAI) with M Soniyo Singh (SAI) and M Vikram Singh (UAC) bagging the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Hav N Subhas Chandra Singh fetched the second yellow metal for ARAT winning the Recurve Division while A Joychandra (SAI) bagged the silver and Rfn H Bidyajit Singh (ARAT) secured the bronze.
all medal winners were given cash prizes and the participants awarded with certificate to motivate them, informed a PRO IGAR (S) release.
Brigadier MK Das, commander 9 Sector AR, who handed over the medals to position winners, affirmed in his address that he is committed to stand up with youth of Manipur to provide them all his support to improve their performance in all spheres of sports.
He Further advised youths to take advantage of initiative taken by Assam Rifles and utilise them in upliftment of their career further and wished best of luck to all participants in their coming events along with thanking them for making the event a grand success.
The championship organised by 40 AR of 9 Sector commenced from December 14 with a total of 36 archers from various clubs of Manipur competing.
