32nd All Manipur Shooting Competition : L Swami Kumar bags senior men's open sight 30 m rifle 3P event gold

Imphal, August 26 2024: Leishangthem Swami Kumar of Manipur Police Sports Club clinched the men's (A-75) open sight 30 m rifle 3P event gold today in the ongoing 32nd All Manipur Shooting Competition.

Swami Kumar secured as many as 387 points to win the gold medal as his compatriot Wangkhem Relkar secured the silver shooting 380 points.

K Asish Sharma of IW District Rifle Association picked the silver medal of the event with 369 points.

Narumbam Isha Devi of Imphal East District Rifle Association in the meantime won the women's (A-77) open sight 30 m rifle 3P event gold amassing 348 points as compatriot Debika Narumbam shot 118 points to settle for the silver medal.

Salam Premila scored only 46 points to finish third but missed the medal.

Gosaimayum Pholendro Sharma of Imphal East District Rifle Association also topped the master men's open sight 50 m rifle 3P event but missed the medal as he collected only 207 points.

10 M Pistol Championships

Aheibam Purbi Leima of the Blossom Indoor Shooting Centre notched the sub-youth women's individual (S-68) 10 m pistol championship with the best 264 points as RK Sweety and Nongmeikapam Aeronika of the same centre scored 337 and 323 points to settle for the silver and the bronze medals respectively.

Leihaothabam Rishiraj Sharma of the Blossom Indoor Shooting Centre also won a gold medal in the sub-youth men's individual (S-67) 10 m pistol championship scoring 352 points as his compatriot Soraisham Nicolash Khaba Nganba scored 348 points to win the silver medal.

Arambam Chiteshor Singh of the IW District Rifle Association bagged the bronze medal of the event with 317 points.

Lairenjam Aananya of IW District Rifle Association was able to fetch the junior and youth women's individual (S-58) 10 m pistol championship gold medals scoring 334 points.

Her compatriot Laishram Pinku shot 311 to finish second but missed out on the silver medal in the youth women's event.

Youth men's individual gold medal in the meantime went to Leihaothabam Rishiraj of the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre scoring highest 352 points as RK Jehan of NSU shot 343 to settle for the silver medal.

Naorem Shona also shot 343 points to win the bronze medal.

Longjam Reuel and Nganba Thounaojam of IW District Rifle Association won the gold and silver medals in the junior men's individual competition scoring 375 and 346 points respectively as Salam Garlin of NSU picked the bronze medal with 344 points.

Lukram Milky of IW District Rifle Association in the meantime clinched the women's individual gold medal scoring 363 points as Irengbam Reema of MPSC and Khulem Nikita of IE District Rifle Association won the silver and bronze medals with 358 and 345 points respectively.

The men's individual gold medal in the meantime went to Pangambam Kunjabihari of Manipur Rifle Association scoring 361 points as IW District Rifle Association's S Somorendro and N Govindamayi scored 358 and 356 points to settle for the silver and the bronze medals.

G Shyamkanhai Sharma of IE District Rifle Association topped the senior master men's individual (S-59) 10 m pistol championship with 337 points.

P Kunjabihari of Manipur Rifle Association in the meantime won master men's individual championship gold medal scoring 361 points as G Shyamkanhai shot 337 points to win the silver and Asem Kenedy of Jupiter Shooting Range of IP School shot 336 points to win the bronze medal.

50m Pistol Championships

Sinam Somorendro Meitei of IW District Rifle Association won the senior men's 50 m pistol championship gold medal scoring 232 points today as Jupiter Asem of Jupiter Shooting Range of IP School clinched the silver medal with 224 points and P Kunjabihari of Manipur scored 223 points to win the bronze.

Amakcham Yohenba of IE District Rifle Association sealed the junior men's 50 m pistol championship gold scoring 231 points while his compatriot Nganba Thounaojam won the silver with 229 points.

Jupiter Asem was placed third in the category and eventually earned the bronze medal.

Labuktongbam Minerva of IW District Rifle Association won the gold medal in the senior women's competition scoring 225 points as P Kunjabihari of Manipur Rifle Association shot 223 points to win the master men's individual gold.

25m Pistol Championships

Irengbam Reema of MPSC registered the senior women's 25 m pistol championship gold shooting 251 points as L Minerva of IW District Rifle Association and Pukhrambam Sophiya of Bishnupur district settled for the silver and bronze medals with 245 and 222 points respectively.

In the junior men's individual competition, Jupiter Asem won the gold scoring 264 points as Y Moramba of IW District Rifle Association and A Yohenba of IE District Rifle Association won the silver and bronze medals with 253 and 251 points respectively.

N Aeronika and RK Sweety of the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre bagged the junior women's individual championship gold and silver with 184 and 172 points respectively as their compatriot Purbi finished third with 142 points but missed out on the medal mark.

25 m Centre Fire Pistol Championships

A Jupiter also notched up the senior men's individual 25 m Centre Fire Pistol Championship gold medal scoring 261 points as Naorem Khandajit of IW District Rifle Association shot 259 points and P Kunjabihari shot 256 points to win the silver and the bronze medals.

G Shyamkanhai meanwhile topped the senior master men's individual championship with 243 points as P Kunjabihari, G Shyamkanhai and A Kennedy of Jupiter Shooting Range of IP School shot 256, 243 and 241 points respectively to seal top three medals.
