1st Manipur Yogasana Championship concludes

The 1st Manipur Yogasana Championship and the selection trial for the 36th National Yogasana Championship was successfully conducted by Manipur Yoga Society at Singjamei community hall.
Meiteikanba Paonam finished first in the boys 6-10 years competition in the championship as Balmani Kangujam and Paonam Malemnganba finished second and third.
Leimapokpam Sintha, Kongkham Wakchingleima and Kongkham Yaisana secured the top three positions in the girls' 6-10 yrs competition.
In the +10-14 years competition for boys, Laishram Herison, Irungbam Chingkheinganba and Surukumar Longjam sealed the top three positions as Irungbam Jenika, Kangujam Malemnganbi and Thingujam Hiyaini bagged the top three places in the girls' competition.
In the +14 to -18 years competition for boys, Mahesh Irungbam, Taodem Raju and Moirangthem Yaiphaba bagged the top three positions as Saikhom Sonia, Laishram Ashajina and Kwairakpam Shilvia sealed the top three positions in the girls competition.
Sapam Rishikumar, Longjam Anilkumar, and Moirangthem Robinson in the meantime bagged the top three places in the boys +18 to 23 yrs competition as Laishram Sanatombi, Laishram Jenita, and Ksh Divya sealed the top three honours in the girls' competition.
For men's above 23 to 40 yrs category, Praven Kairala, M Nipamacha and Yumnam Johnson finished first, second and third while N Thajamanbi and Lamnganbi Khomdram finished first and second in the women's competition of the same age category.
S Santosh, E Suvash and Ksh Danny managed the top three positions in the men's +40 to 50 yrs category competition as Sapam Chaoba, A Narmada and S Memma earned the top three places in the women's competition.
W Priyokumar and Dr G Singh Okram were able to secure the top two positions in the +50 to 65 yrs category competition as L Ibemcha, L Sanatombi and P Satyabati managed the top three positions in the women's competition.
In the men's +65 and above years competition, M Bijoy, S Ratankumar and Huidrom Angou secured the top three positions as Ksh Sobharani, Aribam Seitabati and K Leimatombi bagged the top three places in the women's competition.
As many as 155 athletes across the said age groups participated in the championship that will serve as a selection trial for the 36th National Yogasana Championship due to be held in Midnapore, West Bengal from January 17 to 19, 2025 .
