MAKA names 15 athletes for U-21 and Senior KIO All India Karate C'ships

Imphal, March 03 2025: The Manipur Amateur Karate Do Association (MAKA) has announced as many as 15 athletes who will be representing Manipur at the KIO All India Karate Championships for U-21 and Senior athletes.

The players who have been listed in the State team for the championships to be held from March 26 to 29 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad under the aegis of Karate India Organisation are as follows.

U-21 : Phaningkhui Lungleng of NSKA (Male Kumite -50 kg), Sangmirin Horam of NSKA (Male Kumite -55 kg), Soibam Ronaldo of SAI STC (Male Kumite -60 kg), Keinoumayum Suaib of SEISHINKAI (Male Kumite -67 kg), Thoudam Rikesh of ISKF (Male Kumite -75 kg), Ninthoujam Bishwodiya of ISKF (Female Kumite -55 kg) and Kh Madhusumita of SAI-STC (Female Kumite -61 kg) .

Senior : Laishram Yaiphaba of ISKF (Male Individual Kata), Soibam Prabin of Kangleisha (Male Kumite -50 kg), K Surchandra Lamkang SEIKOKAI (Male Kumite -55 kg), Shagolshem Herojit of ISKF (Male Kumite -67 kg), Lanchenba Luwang of SHOBUKAI (Male Kumite -75 kg), L Sanjeev of ISKF (Male Kumite -84 kg), Thounaojam Herojit of SHOBUKAI (Male Kumite 84 kg) and Sanjenbam Puja of TSKA (Female Individual Kata) .

Thoudam Rikesh, Ningthoujam Bishwodiya and Kh Madhusumita will also be competing in the senior category competition.
