33-member State team leave Imphal for 38th National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championships

Imphal, November 27 2024: A strong 33-member Manipur team left Imphal today for the 38th National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championships that will begin tomorrow at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula, Haryana.

The players who will be representing Manipur in different forms of competitions are as follows.

Kyorugi Girls : Soibam Thadoi Chanu (U-20 kg), Pukhram Dayaluxmi (U-24 kg), Tanshileena Laishram (U-26 kg), Konsam Neha Devi (U-29 kg), Linthoinganbi Lourembam (U-32 kg), Yumnam Depika (U-35 kg), Holina Asem (U-38 kg), Khoirom Kelly Chanu (U-41 kg), Thingbaijam Tombisana (U-47 kg), Longjam Dolly (+ 47 kg) .

Kyorugi Boys : Nongdam Khongbantabam (U-18 kg), Irungbam Tornado (U-21 kg), Nongmaithem Tarabin (U-23 kg), Athouba Thokchom (U-25 kg), Nongmaithem Tenyson (U-27 kg), Heisnam Alvish (U-29 kg), Yaseen Mohammed Wali (U-32 kg), Thoithoiba Yumnam (U-35 kg), Thoihenba Ahanthem (U-38 kg), Sukham Tondonba (U-41 kg), Hensana Nongthombam (U-44 kg), Urikhimbam Lanchenba (U-50 kg) and Venus Tharoijam (+50 kg) .

The Kyorugi squads are led by Laishram Naoboy and Leimram Joypriya.

Poomsae boys : Watham Chiwang Angom (individual male and group male), Trillok Ningombam (mixed pair and group male), Naorem Leishemba (group male) .

Poomsae girls : Nelia Irungbam (individual female, group female), Noreena Maibam (mixed pair, group female), Nongthombam Lamnganbi (group female) .

Pushpatolly Mangshatabam is leading the poomsae team as Nongthombam Singhajit is managing both the kyorugi and poomsae squads.

The championships will run till December 1 .
