12th IW Dist Thang-Ta : MNLTTCA emerge overall team champions

Imphal, June 10 2018: Hosts Meitei Nongsha Lallong Thang-Ta Cultural Association, Maklang Branch produced stellar performances throughout the 12th Imphal West District Thang-Ta Competition 2018 which began on June 8 at Maklang Bazar Community Hall, Imphal West to win the overall champions title with a total of 59 medals including 29 gold, 23 silver and 7 bronze medals and aggregate 228 points.

Huyen Langlon Thang-Ta Academy (HLTA), Yumnam Huidrom managed to secure the runners up title with a total of 179 points from 24 gold, 15 silver and 7 bronze medals in the competition.

The championship organised under the aegis of Imphal West District Thang-Ta Association was participated by 114 male and 67 female players from across the district.

Ksh Lan Mangang (sub-junior boys) of Pahulasi, Mayaikoibi and L Anie Devi of ANJIKA, Sangaiprou were adjudged best fighters (boys and girls respectively) while Ph Bishorjit Meitei and T Joli of MNLTTCA, Maklang Branch were awarded abest discipline titles (boys and girls respectively) .

Day 3 Events
Thanglon Khonglon-Khutlon
L Borishp Sharma of HLTA, Yunmam Huidrom bagged the gold medal in the sub-jr boys Thanglon Khonglon-Kbutlon event while L BishipSharma of the same unit claimed the silver medal.

S Lan Mangang of Pahulasi, Mayaikoibi won the bronze medal.

Sh Rojika Chanu fetched the gold medal for HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom in the sub-jr girls event while Th Bibi clinched silver medal.

N Rohibina were able to claim the bronze medal.

Sh Shageinganba Meitei and H Mangaleiba Meitei of HLTA won the gold and the silver rnedal respectively while Kh Netrajit claimed the bronze medal.

Y Pinky claimed the gold medal for HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom in the junior girls event.

Phunaba Ama
L Rinabai Chanu of HLTA, Singjamei won the U-56 kg senior women title in the phunaba ama event while Sakhenbi of Maklang Branch claimed the silver medal.

A Indrapati fetched another gold medal for the Maklang Branch in the U-60 kg event for senior women.

Ph Gileeva Devi of HLTA, Singjamei laid her hands on the gold medal in the U-25 kg event for sub-junior girls while Sulia of Maklang Branch was able to claim the silver medal.

Rabina Heisnam of KYTTL, Langol beat S Roshni of Anjika, Sangaiprou to win gold medal in the U-44 kg junior girls' event while L Sophiya Chanu of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom beat Malemnganbi of Maklang to claim U-48 kg phunaba ama title for sub-junior girls.

Kh Priyanka Chanu of Anjalika got better of Jenia of Maklang Branch to win the gold medal in the U-52 kg sub-jr girls phunaba ama event while Lingthoingambi of Maklang and L Sheily of Anjika claimed gold medals in the U-56 and U-65 kg events for sub-jr girls respectively.

L Shital (U-58 kg) and L Kishan Singh (U-62 kg) of KYTTL bagged gold medals in the men's phunaba ama events while O Netajit (U-66 kg) and Y Khagemba (U-75 kg) of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom also bagged one gold medal each.

H Lanngamba of MIMCTTA, Naoremthong also bagged a gold medal in the U-80 kg event.

Phunaba Anisuba
L Uma Devi (U-40 kg), Chandrika Laishram (U-44kg) and Y Pinky (U-48 kg) fetched gold medals for HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom in the junior girls' Phunaba Anisuba events while K Merina of Maklang Branch won the gold in the U-56 kg event.

A Anjana Chanu (U-44) of HLTA, Singjamei, Sh Sanatombi Devi (U-48 kg) of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom and P Chaoba Devi (U-52 kg) of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom also bagged one gold medal each in the senior women phunaba anishuba events.

H Sanananda Singh (U-46 kg) and A Bunty Singh of HLTA, Yumnam Huidrom Unit also claimed one gold medal each while I Indubooshan Meitei (U-54 kg) and Y Sanajaoba (U-58 kg) bagged one gold medal each in the respective phunaba ama events.

P Babi Singh of Pahulasi beat Ch Ishwarchandra Singh of Maklang Branch to win gold before his compatriots W Duhesh (U-80 kg) added another gold medal.

RK Momosana bagged another gold medal for HLTA, Singjamei in the U-75 kg event beating L Somojit Singh of Pahulasi.

Thang Haiba
Th Ingalsana Chanu of Pahulasi bagged the gold medal in the Thang-Haiba event for sub-junior girls while Th Pushparani and L Anie Devi of Anjika claimed the silver and the bronze medals respectively.

S Malemnganba Meitei of Pahulasi won the gold medal in the thang-haiba event for sub-junior boys while Muskan Chingangbam of KYTTL won the silver medal.

Dravid Langpoklakpam and Sh Roseland Singh of Anjika Sangaiprou bagged added one gold and silver medal respectively in the Thang-Haiba event for junior boys while L Somojit Singh of Pahulasi claimed the gold medal in the senior men event.
