MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament : Bowlers shine as AKSDO crush YPHU by 10 wickets

Imphal, April 02 2023: Bowlers took centrestage as AKSDO-Khangabok notched a convincing 10 wicket win over YPHU-Lalambung Makhong in a Group D match of the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament at PTRC ground.

YPHU won the toss and opted to bat first but had a disastrous outing with the bat and were bowled out for a paltry total of 50 runs in 12 overs of which 30 were extra.

None of the batters scored double digit mark in this innings as Raylight Ningthoujam (3/2 in 2 overs) and Avinash Waikhom (3/11 in 3 overs) picked three wickets each, Saikhom Dinesh bagged two (2/4 in 2 overs) and Bidyasagar and Chingamba Elangbam shared a wicket apiece.

AKSDO then chased down the target in just 5.4 overs with openers Md Ushmal Ali (25) and Borish Khundrakpam (14) completing the task.

Raylight Ningthoujam who led the AKSDO bowling attack was adjudged man of the match.
