1st MCA U-16 Cricket : Zamir shines as Al-Ameen romp past YWC by 89 runs

Zamir shone with both the bat and the ball to hand Al-Ameen a convincing 89 run win against YWC, Langthabal today at Langthabal Public Ground in a match of the ongoing 1st MCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy, 2019 organised by Manipur Cricket Association.
UCC were also able to seal a 2 wicket win against OSCAR in another clash at Heinoupok Ground.
In the 10th match of the tournament played at Langthabal Public Ground, Al Ameen which won the toss and elected to bat first rode on Alfash's 42 run knock, Zamir's 32 and Akip Hussain's 11 to pile up 168 runs in 30 overs for the loss of 8 wicket before defending their total nicely in the second innings.
Soubam Robinson and Herojit of YWC clinched two wickets each in this innings while Seram Robinson and Manikanta finished with 1 wicket each before their nightmarish chase that end with 80 runs total as Waker and Wakil of Al-Ameen picked up three wickets each while man of the match, Zamir scalped two wickets.
Only Richard was able to scored a significant 23 runs off 30 balls for YWC in the chase.
Meanwhile at Heinoupok Ground, UCC bowled ran riot across the batting line up of OSCAR to restrict the latter for 77 for 10 in 18.5 overs and reached the target in 15.3 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.
Oscar which won the toss and chose to bat first, had a disastrous start as Vivek emerged the only notable player with 17 runs in his name and other players fell easy prey to exceptional bowling performances by Aditya (3 wickets), Loyamba (2 wickets) and Arvind (2 wickets) of UCC.
Lalukumar and Surajkumar of OSCAR gave UCC some tough time by scalping 3 and 2 wickets each but could not really contained the chase as the target proved too small.
Arvind made the highest of UCC in this chase and sailed his team towards the victory with 2 wickets left in the hand.
PTCC will meet TCMDC tomorrow at Langthabal Public Ground while UCC will play Al-Ameen at Heinoupok Ground.
