U-17 Khelo India Women's Football; ICSA, ESU ease to third straight wins

ICSA, Irengbam and ESU, Wangkhei were able to secure their third successive wins at Mapal Kangjeibung today in the U-17 Khelo India Women's League 2019 being organised by All Manipur Football Association in association with Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of Manipur under the aegis of All India Football Federation.
In the 11th match of the tournament, ICSA ran riot to earn a super 6-1 comeback win against LC, Churachandpur.
LC under fortuitous circumstance broke the deadlock in the third minute before L Shelia and O Babita tore apart their defence line up and ensured ICSA win 6-1 .
ICSA who were dominating the ball right from the beginning did not take long to draw level as L Shelia hit the equaliser in the 8th minute before she grabbed her second in the 29th minute and overturned the lead.
And as LC failed to respond, ICSA eased into the break with a 2-1 lead.
ICSA picked up the game from where they left as soon as second half resumed and it was O Babita who led the attack up at the front and banged in two goals back to back in the 42nd and the 58th minute to give her team to an unassailable 4-1 lead against LC.
ICSA continued to press LC despite the huge lead and off a fine move L Shelia converted her treble in the 59th minute before Th Rojita rounded off the scoring in the 65th minute.
Meanwhile in the 12th match of the tournament, ESU came alive in the second half after playing out a goalless first half with YWC, Langthabal to finish the game 2-0 and earn their third win at the tournament participated by 8 teams.
K Anju broke the deadlock for ESU in the 45th minute of the match while Chonmaya doubled their advantage in the 61st minute as YWC failed to cope up their attacking approach.
Although YWC, Langthabal tried hard to cut the gap, ESU defence stood tall and managed to deny all late chances the rivals had and went home 2-0 .
